smartwatch app for clinic staff
[ Teamconnect ]
A smartwatch app that lets clinic staff send task orders, check rooms, leave voice notes and raise an SOS, all from their wrist.

Case study
Overview
Teamconnect is a WearOS smartwatch app for clinic staff. From their wrist they can send task orders, check rooms, send messages, leave voice notes and raise an SOS.
The problem
In a clinic, hands are busy and phones are in lockers. Small requests like “bring this material to room 3” get lost, and in an emergency every second counts.
My role & team
Product designer on the watch app.
Process
- Broke the app into five areas: task orders, task management, notes, messages and settings
- Designed every flow for a round screen and one thumb
- Mapped swipe transitions between steps, since there’s no room for back buttons
Key decisions
Pick, don’t type
Staff, room and material are chosen from short lists. Typing on a watch is a crime.
Voice for anything longer
Notes can be recorded and turned into text with AI, then shared with staff.
Confirm the SOS
One action sends an SOS to everyone, but it asks first. Big alarms deserve one extra tap.
Screen by screen
Home
Quick actions: beep, message, voice, note and task.
Task order
Choose the staff member, the room and the material, then send. Rooms show if someone is checked in.
Task management
Incoming and ongoing tasks, with notifications.
My notes
New notes, AI notes from voice with a transcript, and adding staff to a note.
Messages and settings
Message a room, and adjust the basics.
