Overview
Somni is a wellness club in Vietnam with a gym, recovery rooms, pilates, yoga and spa treatments. I designed the member mobile app and the staff web CRM with the team at 01 Digital.
The problem
Members juggle a lot: classes, treatments, credits, a café, events and referral rewards. Staff juggle even more. The tools had to make a premium club feel effortless on both sides of the front desk.
My role & team
Product designer at 01 Digital, designing both the member app and the staff CRM.
Process
- Started from what members do most: book, check credits, order a drink
- Borrowed patterns people already know from apps like Grab, so booking feels familiar on day one
- Kept the café simple on purpose: orders go out by email instead of a full inventory system, which was enough for launch
- Designed the CRM so its AI agents suggest actions to staff instead of just storing data
Key decisions
Familiar class tiles
Classes and treatments use tiles that look like the apps people open every day. Less to learn, more time on the mat.
Always show which credits get used
Membership credits are used first, referral tokens after. The app says this right where you spend them, with an estimated cost before you confirm.
A freeze that tells you exactly when you’re back
Freezing a membership shows how many freeze days you have left this year and the exact date everything resumes.
